All in a day's work.
There is something about our Ear Nose Throat doctor's office that is so great for taking photos. I always say if I was a photographer, I would rent a space there for it's natural light. So beautiful. Plus the office is so old-school, it just inspires me. Ha ha. That plus waiting with three (now four) kids in a room, you have to do SOMETHING to keep the time and keep them from touching things.
They usher us back to our room and as soon as they shut the door, I'm furiously bossing my kids around, "Sit here!!" "STOP FIGHTING! We've only got a minute." "SMILE NOW!!"
And then we get back to what we usually do in doctors offices while we wait. We pretend we're the doctors.
Or Corban does the Grandpa Peterson tickle which doesn't tickle so much as dig into your back but somehow the little kids laugh at it like it's funny.
Sometimes we play I-Spy, and in his doctor's office it's especially fun. He has teddy bears hanging from the ceiling. They never notice them but I always do, so I stump them for a good five minutes usually.
Good times at the ENT. Now if Avery's fluid would just stay down in her ears, I'll never get to grace that sweet little office again. Until it's Penelope or Calvin's turn for tonsils.
