Go Dodgers!

Ken called me one day (Calvin was just under two weeks, I believe) and said that he was going to be home early from work (about 5 pm) and that he had just gone online to purchase tickets to see our Dodgers.  We all dashed around getting ready and just a few hours later we were in the car, munching on hot dogs, on our way to a Dodgers game! How fun to be spontaneous.  Luckily I had enough time to grab our baby a Dodgers binky, Go Dodgers!

 





We got there just after the game started, which was sort of a bummer because it was Mormon night at the stadium and we could have seen Elder Holland throw the first pitch.  Last year we saw Elder Uchtdorf do it.  But we missed it and it was fine.

We still had a great time.  I'll be honest, I don't have very many memories of this night, I was in a cloudy haze.  But I know it was fun, I know the kids had a blast and it was one of my first times out of the house with the baby.  He stayed in my front pack the entire time except for the pictures (below).  And since Penny went to a Cal football game (Go Bears!!) when she was four days old, I figured two weeks should be okay.  Ha ha.  Should have saved the money on my ticket, I don't remember a thing.









Dodgers Stadium is just so breathtaking.  Especially when you are in the nosebleeds.



I really really really wanted to get a family picture, but it was just so... complicated...

Never fear, Ken was always just a tiny hand away, no babies were harmed in the taking of this picture.  :)



The thing I do remember is how the Dodgers lost that game (16-1 I believe).  It was awful, so so so sad.  After this, they have been on fire.  But that night that we were there, they were just so terrible.  Good times. I'm hoping it's not me that is the bad luck charm, since we've got tickets again coming up here pretty soon.  Let's go Dodgers, let's go!
