General Conference Donuts
*Please don't let the crooked picture frames bother you as much as they are bothering me in this post
*If you are noticing an absence of baby Calvin on the blog lately, it's because I'm doing the dreaded catch up. I want to remember these memories, but it's sort of killing me that in these pictures I had three children and now I have four, I just want to be here in the present where I've been basking for weeks. You guys, this baby I have? He is just the yummiest thing I've ever experienced, it almost feels ridiculous to try to take pictures of his wonderfulness, because that would take him out of my arms and immediate vision. But I have, taken pictures, that is. But before I get to those, I need to carry on and get this done for history's sake.
A few months ago we had General Conference and usually the kids and I make donuts during Priesthood session. We heard the idea in conference a few years ago and I thought it was good-- you get the women and children together to make homemade donuts and enjoy each other while the men are at Priesthood and then the men come home and you eat the fruits of your labors while they report to you about Priesthood.
Well, I've said it before, my kids are really pretty young for many traditions and for some reason Saturday afternoon/night donut making was not working for us, so this year I made them after the kids went to bed and then they decorated and enjoyed them in the morning, just before conference started. Why haven't we done this earlier? Made Sunday morning so fun.
A good reason why we haven't really invited anyone in on this tradition. It's not exactly sanitary.
Tongue hanging out, it was that yummy for this little man.
I am so blessed to have this family of mine.
